When all this shit started we were 25% of the population. According to people like you, we barbarians breed like rabbits so we might have become 33% if we were not subjected to Greek sterilization. I realise that the numbers vary from many sources but lets stick with these ones. If you really want to argue about numbers then we can always talk about how the hell you can keep claiming that 200,000 refugees are GC when the figures given are that the both sides refugees were 210,000 in total. Anyways...Coming back to reality. How does 30% sound? The Green line was not drawn as it was for nothing. Do you have any figures for how much land a state would need in order to look after it self and not be dependant on it neighbors or are you after carrying on the embargoes even after a land agreement.

Get Real, just a correction:

According to the figures you gave that 12.3% is the 16.7% of the privatively owned property. Still less than the 18%, but not by that much.

Just to make a clarification: For me any kind of split would be unfair as it would involve human rights violations. The ideal would be the 100% of Cypriots sharing the 100% of their island without any kind of racist split.

However if we forget that huge issue (since TCs would reject anything that doesn't involve a split) then the least unfair split would be one of 18%-82%.

Of course Get Real can also say that it should be a bit less for TCs and base the split on property ownership. I guess my approach is a bit more communistic and that of Get Real more capitalistic.

However there is absolutely no justification for TCs asking for more than 18% in such a split. It is totally obvious that the only base for demanding more is that they believe they have the military power to get more. Any TC that denies this would be just lying to himself.

If you are going to talk about how many we would be, then you should count the 30.000 people the Turks butchered when they first came to Cyprus (a VERY huge portion of the population then), and the fact that after 3 centuries a Ottoman oppression many GCs were forced to change religion and become Muslims in order to pay less taxes and be treated better (and thats how you got most of "Turkish" Cypriots)

So stop trying to hide behind your finger. You demand what you demand not because you can justify that demand in any way but simply because you think you have the power to get it.

Back to the numbers game, like it or not we are a community who demands equal community right = 2 equal partners north and south. You lost the % split back in 1974, now you have to deal with 2 states.

I like to think of my approach being more... REALISTIC!
