LENA, why should I believe what he says? Historians find the best evidence not interview peoiple 30 years later and write a narrative based on this and claim it as history.

I will not bother to read his book ever. Seeing his Documentary was more than enough. Let me know if a serious historian actually examines the relevant Turkish language sources to incriminate them in their manipulations and lies, in Greek or English language narrative. Such a book I will buy and read.

They should be bothered that an interviewer who makes Documentaries and writes books is known Cyprus wide now and a book on well researched history of Cyprus will sell a few thousand copies as its best hope.

Your bias is soooo obvious,Nikephoros, that nobody would take seriously any historian you recommend...You ought to know that history is subjective and it is written by "the winners"...There is not one history book or historian who can be totally objective nomatter how seriously he/she tries to present their work...Writers and documentary makers,on the other hand,do not pretend to be objective. They set out to prove a point,or put forward one sided opinions, and do it by carefully selecting their sources or "talent" as they say in that profession...

You can learn much more by reading books or watching documentaries by people of differring opinions, than reading "serious historians", as you call them,of the same persuation...Stop hiding behing these people and tell us what you think or believe is the case...you will be more respected that way...

You have no idea how history is researched. If you did you would not think spouting truisms was a replacement for actually reading historical studies. But that is a problem with almost all members of this forum.

Nikephoros calm down a bit. You judge this forum really bad but you are still here posting. If you dont like the members or the forum itself you can just give up...I hate it when people like you judge others so easy… like you are the perfect one. You are here for not so long...and I don’t think that you know everyone in here so well. So you dont know if they are familiar or not, if they been thought things or not, if they are historians or not. Like we dont know about you.

You seem to me that you are coming from the education field but then I am not sure. May be I am right but I don’t know what is your subject etc but then you might read a lot. But the way you post look like I am right with the first one. Anyway even if I am wrong or right...you should know that none of the history books that we have been taught in school or any of the "new books" that our children are learning or they will are perfect....even if "historians" who has "researched" the history with the right way wrote those books they didnt write the "whole history" or they present the facts a little bit different. Dont tell me that we didnt do anything wrong...dont tell me that we was angels and we did nothing harmless to humanity!!! Ok since you say that you read a lot and you know how the history is researched…Are those history books that we read in schools or from libraries are accurate?

Does anyone own this work or heard of it:

Η άλλη πλευρά :Πολιτική χρονογραφία της εισβολής στην Κύπρο, με βάση τουρκικές πηγές, τόμος Α΄
Γραμμή, Αθήνα 1977, σελ. 551

Διπλωματική χρονογραφία του διαμελισμού της Κύπρου, με βάση τουρκικές πηγές (1955-1963), τόμος Β΄ (Βιβλίο Α΄+ Βιβλίο Β΄)
Γραμμή, Αθήνα 1982, σελ. 1-390 (α΄). 1983, σελ. 391-925 (β΄)

The above book by a Greek researcher uses the Turkish sources against them to my knowledge.

Is it worth buying?
Can someone link me to a online retailer that carries it?
