I hope your optimism proves correct, but unfortunately, I cannot see it happening, with the evidence I have in front of me.

Simon mou I didnt say that you call me a sheep ... that was my words...I said I am not a sheep like lots of GC...and TC, that follow their leader or the majority without thinking.

Shah, if you feel like this; then I ask you, would you agree to an 80/20 split? If TCs do not want to reunite, wouldn't a split based on official population figures be the fairest way?

Or do you insist on your 'state' holding thousands of properties illegally and occupying 37% when your population is only 18% of Cyprus?

If it is the latter, then no solution will EVER be found, from unification to partition, because you insist on a disproportionate and unfair solution; and therefore, there will always be the threat of War lingering for the foreseeable future. Surely you can understand this?

Of course i do, but im wondering how are you planning to give us %18 while maintaining a single chunk of TRNC?

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean. If 'TRNC' becomes a legitimate state, consisting of 20% of Cyprus, what 'single chunk' will GCs be maintaining? :?

Anything outside the 20% will form a part of the GC state and the true owners of the property situated there will be able to return.

What i mean is, if you are planning to move all the people back to their original places, then i presume most of the TC will move south and vice versa, right?

Well that depends on what kind of solution is negotiated. If you are talking about a true partition, then GCs will return to the land forming a part of the GC state. Some others would be able to return to the TC state to claim their land if they wish, and I suspect, not many would wish to do this, (and there would be a restriction put on this by the TC state I presume) but I believe most would prefer compensation instead. Therefore, these would be compensated. For the TCs, they could either swap their land in the south for GC property in the north, or they could return to their properties in the south. Again, I assume that very few would want to return; and most would want to swap their properties, accept compensation, or just simply sell their properties etc. Hence there would probably be a very small minority in both states for each side.

However, like I say, it all depends on how the partition is negotiated. I, nor the GCs prefer partition, but it seems that you and TCs do; therefore, I ask you again, would you accept at least in principle, an 80/20 split?
