To be honest my guess was that you was born from one TC and one GC parent. Thats why I kept asking you. My intention was not to insult you or something. I know a story of a young reporter that works in Cyprus with a story like that and I read one of his interviews...it was really amazing. Anyway...yes I understood your reasons before that...but what annoys me with you some times is that you repeat your self so many times that sometimes you dont even pay attention to what others say to you...you are trying to convince them about your views. I am not saying that you are wrong but I think, in my opinion, you chose wrong way to do that. Also I notice that you never admit when you are wrong...you prefer not to answer than say..."yes you are right" !!! That an old Cypriot attitude...so I do understand about that also!!

Anyway thank you for the informations. Keep your head up and keep posting!

Dear FC,

I have read your postings and it is QUITE clear to me that you are Cypriot my friend !! ( and that the moderators have not objected to "FECK")

I'm hoping you ( and your fellow Cypriots and neighbouring "interested parties" ) might like to try and take a leaf out of the recent history of Ireland "book" and realise it is time to make "unpleasant" compromises , to ensure a lasting settlement on your lovely island.

The history of Ireland shows you, clearly, that as time passes, that "planted peoples" - with no roots on the island - influence the outcome of any settlement- and the longer GCs wait, the more of these people there will be.

Can it only be GCs that can't see the folly of their NO to Annan?

You'll note that Priests ( and indeed old people - who would never DARE say the Fu*k word) can be heard to use this mild expletive.. it has no sexual meaning, and is not considered rude.. AT ALL !!

MM

So if I go to Ireland and tell to somebody "Feck you, you fecking Irish" he will not consider it as rude? Lena, I think FC said something about his ancestors being Arabs.

Would you stand in a streeet in Athens and call Greeks Pushti Ka******as ??

Hmm Sotos .. I KNOW you understand English .. "Feck" -as used in Ireland - is still an expletive .. I guess if you shout this to complete strangers in the street, the men in white coats might come to give you a place to "rest" for a while !!

However, if used in the context of you chatting with people to whom you are known - this is fine !

Like I said.. somehow I *think* you knew this.. but glad to help , anyway !
