Limassol District Animal Protection Association have a shelter just outside Limassol with 100 dogs inside that will starve to death if they don't get urgent help. They have run out of money for food and do not have any money left to pay someone to go and feed the dogs and clean the shelter. These dogs will die if we don't get help so please read on and find it in your hearts to help.

There are puppies and all kinds of breeds of dogs, all friendly and loveable just wanting kindness, comfort and warmth in a new home - can you make a dog happy?

If you cannot adopt a dog can you donate food, blankets, water/food bowls or money.

Have a look through your cupboards and donate any blankets or thick towels you don't use any more.

Next time you are at the supermarket spend a few extra pounds on dog food. If you can do this regularly it would be such a great help.

Have some spare time on your hands to go and help at the shelter even if it is only one morning or afternoon a week, it all helps.

Do you have any dog toys or balls to entertain the dogs in the shelter.

Any help you can give to saving these dogs would so much be appreciated. I am willing to come and collect any items you can donate.

Open your hearts for these defenseless, helpless animals - they need us.

I read your message and have thought about offering to volunteer so many times. Unfortunately with a baby and a job with long hours im unable to. But i can donate towels and blankets, ill give you a call to arrange. Writting this message in the hope that others will also be able to provide any assistance.

Bloody Government run shelters.......This country sucks with regards to animals. Makes me mad

By the way this shelter is not government run just some volunteers who love animals have set it up because the last dog shelter had to close so the dogs were moved to here rather than put to sleep. Please pass the word round in the hope to get more help. THANK YOU x

Can you let me know where the shelter is in Limassol? I think I may have found some future owners. I have sent an email around the offices at work and people are donating food, blankets etc and I will contact you to arrange collection from the airport unless I can make it down to Limassol. If you can either post or PM me the address/location of the shelter that would be great.

I've taken note of your number and will call once I have an ample amount of items. Sorry I can't take any doggies. I already have a Jack Russell and a stray boxer-x adopted us 6 months ago. My hands, and poop bags are full, with the two of them.

Anyway, keeping this thread at the fore front will hopefully help.

Thank you Twinkle! Please note more than anything we need volunteers to go and feed the dogs and clean up or donations of money to pay someone to do it. It would take 4 hours per day.
