Hi there, i have been checking this website for a few weeks now glad a lot of you are all sorted now. Myself and my family are due to go in August really not sure weather we should maybe try for a trasnfer or hope it is finished ! I really want a nice hotel which will be great for kids, and good food can any one thats been put my mind at rest ? thanks.

Hi, same as the last post, I have been keeping a close eye on all the posts. due to go to the Atlantica Oasis on 24th June, phoned First Choice once I found the web site, they confirmed that the work was ongoing and would be finished for the 23rd, just happens to be the day before we arrive. 3 weeks to go and not heard from them yet!!. If anyone has any updates I would love to know.

See No-one told us our hotel was closed from today's Staffordshire Evening Sentinel.

Went there last week to take a look at the progress. The Hotel is still gutted out. I'll be visiting again today, so will take some photos through my phone. Will have to try and work out how to get them off the phone to the computer afterwards (got no datacable, bluetooth on computer or memory car on phone).

Just had an e-mail from Andri Zodiatou, Front office manager of the Atlantica Oasis. She confirms that the hotel will not be open till 15th july.

Hi All
I discovered this forum after I did a search following the receipt of a letter from Cosmos which arrived on Thursday.
I think I'd better explain my situation first.
I am expecting to travel to Cyprus at the end of August for a wedding and have booked to stay in the Atlantica Apartments (just over the road from the main hotel).
I received a letter from Cosmos on Thursday, dated 23rd May, explaining that the main hotel was undergoing a refurbishment which was over-running and that some of the facilities that were listed would not be available during my stay.
This may just be something that Cosmos have sent out as a precautionary measure - i.e. anyone who has booked there for the whole summer 2007 will receive the same information or whether they are expecting the refurbishment to still not be completed by the end of August.
I hope that the date posted by NigelW (15th July) is accurate rather than Cosmos believing that the work will not be completed by early autumn.
Just though I should share this with you...since I understand why some of you are very anxious. I can copy out the whole letter if people want to see it.
Hope this information is NOT accurate for everyones sake but thought I'd better share it just in case.

Hi all

Spoke to my travel agent this morning, and Olympic yesterday. My travel agent advised that work was due to be finished in early July with a GUARANTEED opening date of July 15th. So it seems to be that they have got their backsides into gear (we hope!). I fly out on the 22nd, so it's cutting it quite close, I just hope everything is completed.

But I was also advised that if not ready by the 15th July then we can change to another hotel free of charge with no admin fees - unless the holiday is more expensive - in which case we would have to pay the difference. Hope this helps some of you!

just had a phone conversation with firstchoice uk and the atlantica oasis will not be ready for our holiday going on the 22 nd july 2007 we have been offered the miramare instead
