Even our Humanitarian acts are thwarted by the RoC.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I take it differently. I think it is the "trnc" that chose politics over humanity. Had they wanted this to go ahead as normal they would have steered clear from any "official" symbols of the trnc and and claims of a trnc government. It is in fact the trnc that chose to use this as a means of further recognition and not partake in an exercise that could have gone ahead without provocation.

I'm sure Talat was just thinking of humanity like Shah and Zan who need to come off their high moral horse for a second and see who really is using this exercise for political gain.

Its a novel about a couple and the story goes through from 1945 to 1980 in Cyprus and Australia...She finished it in 1 day...I have it for a week and I love it but I am slow because every 2-3 pages I have to stop and wipe my tears. She is Greek and she knows the history and stuff but she never live close....I born and grow up there, in Cyprus, I have family members in Australia...and the book is great but the pain inside even if I havent been through all of them really hurts.

What is the name of that book, please Lena? And who wrote it?
I'd very much like to get my hands on a copy.I hope it is available here in Australia....Thanks.

Ps...What Zan and Shah fail to take into account is this:When it comes to matters relating to recognition and sanctions etc everything is political.Nothing is allowed to get in the way of playing the political game. You can't have "No recognition" policy, and have an exception when it comes to "humanitarian issues"...Like you can't be a little bit pregnant! :)

   Well said Birkibrisli ... you worn me about Zan but I didnt listen....

As for the book is in Greek if you can read Greek I can give you all the details...or even said a copy to you...but I am not sure if there is an English copy for this.

And there's me thinking you were talking about the land of Oz Bir, you know where the great wizard lives, and where there's a long yellow brick road..

Although I wonder why they call Australia Oz? Unless it literally is the Land of Oz with a freakishly long yellow brick road, Wicked witches and a lost girl walking around with a dog, a Tin Man, a scarecrow and a lion that has defied evolution and walks on his hind legs?? Because if that’s the case I’m booking a ticket to Australia right now! :D

(I think I'm still stuck in Wizard of Oz Mode when it comes to this forum...I have Kikapu to thank for that I believe.. )
