Hi peeps,

My father was a Cypriot and my moms from NZ. I was born in Cyprus and went to private school and when I turned 18 I went to the UK for 5 years. I never really hung out with Greek Cypriot people. Anyway I came back to Cyprus and had to live there as an adult. I am shocked at their way of thinking and the behavior of many Greek Cypriot people, women and men. Don t get me wrong, I have met a rare few decent people but I just don t understand the behavior.

Basically I have had an administrator of my will for 6 years. He is a liar and a manipulator and he is lazy and he has all my inheritance hogged. A lot of people show the same traits. Other people have shown to be manipulative, hostile and tried to get the most out of you. Sort of like a blood sucking vampire. That s how they behave.

I came back from the UK having to deal with being ripped off, stolen by, lied to and threatened. I try to understand why they have no compassion for other people and they are so selfish too. I have to deal taking 1 person to court and the other taking my partner to court to squeeze him out of any penny they can get. I mean, they treat people like dirt! You re pushy coz they don t want to move and do their job, they speak to you like dirt. They treat foreigners in a degrading way, such as their own employees, like maids for example.

How do I deal with these sort of people, seriously now. I m at my wits end!

...you have stumbled into the drama of most families anywhere on the planet, when there is a diaspora connected to a family itself. (IMO)

and this malaise is no excuse for becoming a part of it, like them, you must continue to act in a loving manner with an open mind, and if you are fighting, listen carefully, new thinking as always will be required from both sides , it seems, to solve these problems; good luck.

Actually not all cypriots are like this . Cypriots with turkish ethnic background on the occupied areas are totally warm hearted and friendly people . It's shocking to see a difference in the behaviour of both cultures. Joining the eu has made them even more arogant and lazy and they act superior to anyone that is not greek . I have been to both sides and the turkish cypriots are much nicer people . The greek cypriots are just selfish self obsessed , self importance ,opinionated ,racist,sexist ,they think they are better than everyone else and they look down on people . They are exactly like those Jews with the black hats and ringlets on each side of the heir heads in Stamford hill where they look upon all others as inferior and they segregate themselves . morganalafay and mustiejodu you are both right.im in the same boat.....the northern part with our turkish freinds is a much freindlier place.
ive been lied too,scammed out of my money,ripped off and to top it odd...been taken to court ..why?because of hate...no compassion..just hate....and hate from a very religious supposedly lot of people...ha ha....in fact this is the most evil place on this planet.

of course rather than Turkish, just "Turks", and we can see what they are up to in Turkey.
