I'm going on Sunday free, courtesy of Parador Properties. I'm expecting a hard sell but I reckon it may take more than one trip.

I'll wager you a bet that you will buy on the first trip.

They will wear you down so much that you would willingly buy a house made of goats cheese before the end of the trip.

These guys and gals are professionals --- at parting you from your money.

Although I've never had the experience myself I know a lot who have and they say it's one of the worst decisions in their life and if they had known what it was going to be like they would have never gone on the "inspection trip".

This is HIGH pressure selling at it's best ( or worst which ever way you look at it ) -- not many come home without buying something.

Best of luck
Bill

Bill you are talking someone who has twice extracted freebies from time share touts and watched other fools sign for something they never wanted. I know the score, if I see a bargain I may go for it but its unlikely. I know I can buy a "secondhand" property much cheaper but I will get a good insight to the market an an idea of where to buy. I'm back on Wednesday, I'll let you know how I get on.

I must admit that I've taken the offer from the timeshare touts once a few years ago when all this was new.

My wife was visiting relatives that I can't stand to be with so I took a walk along Paphos sea front near the fort .

I was attacked ( that's the only word I can describe it with any justice ) by one of the touts who virtually begged me to attend.

As I had nothing to do for a while I agreed and was whisked off to a nearby hotel and given the full treatment.

Free food and free drink with a bottle of cheap plonk as a pressie .

I eventually told them ( on the way out ) that I already had a place in Cyprus and thanked them for the food etc --also for keeping me entertained for a couple of hours.

Oh boy did they get abusive

It was good fun though -- but not one I intend to repeat any time soon -- even the relatives that I dislike so much are more preferable to that.

I've never been on an Inspection tour but I know quite a few that have and it's not been a pleasant experience :x

Best of luck Jerry

Hello Jambo, I appreciate the offer but I really do want to buy in Larnaca town. If I can't find what I want i may look further afield but not as far as Paphos. Thanks anyway and if I go to Paphos I'll buy you a drink anyway!
Cheers
