Mitliades I disagree with your comments, though I accept that they are your beliefs. As for communism well that it a concept to great for any of us to adhere too. Hence its failure, however the ideology behind it is one that I would support and value for myself. Yes I am anideologist and I do hope that one day we will all be living under this ideology at its fullest extend, which promotes human equality in alll domains of life. I still maintain that the US, Australia and Britian have no right telling another nation that it should have democracy as we see it. Having said that it is a dilussion to think that any of theree countries named have democracy as was inspired by the ancient greek philosophers.

For the person who osed the question why are ll the world waiting in line for american visas well there are nuts everywhere and if that is where they want to be let them I say., Tis the last place on erath I would want to be.

OK, an American doctor is helping people injured in Afghanistan. But, before you go saying that this proves the US is offering humanitarian aid to the Afghans, ask yourself two questions:
1. If the Americans had not invaded the country, would those people be requiring his aid?
2. The reason why the US went into the country and caused widespread suffering was to cut the feet from under al Qaeda and specifically Osama; have they succeeded in either mission or have they made things worse?

That having been said, I do not hate Americans; I have many close American friends and I have enjoyed visiting the USA on many occasions. However, I do hate the purely selfish, bellicose, imperialist outlook of, especially, the current Administration which has sown hatred throughout the world for no other reason than to protect their vested interests and to hell with everyone else (including Afghanis, Iraqis, N. Koreans, Iranians, Russians, sub-Saharan Africans, Palestinians, Cubans, Venezuelans, Colombians and many others, not forgetting Cypriots.)

While I respect your opinion I wholeheartedly disagree with your premise "Communism was a concept too great for people to adhere to?" Are you kidding me. Communism repressed freedom, ideology, religious tolerance and killed millions. I suppose Stalin is a hero of yours?

Your idea of a crazy person is one who wants a better life for himself or his family in the land of opportunity. I bet you wouldn't last 2 days in North Korea under the government you so eloquently espouse.

So you are saying that the so-called war on terror has not caused any harm in Afghanistan? That the thousands of people who have been killed and maimed by the US-led intervention would still have required medical help for their injuries? Get real, GG.

And where is the success? As far as is known, Osama is still alive and kicking, while al Qaeda is, by far, more active and belligerent in more parts of the world than it was before the present Administration took office. Success? You're wearing glasses that have been rose-tinted by the propaganda emanating from your war-machine. All the US intervention has done is to make things worse for those living outside the USA.
