Hey guys...
I live in the UK but i've been brought up Cypriot my whole life...just wanted to ask if you know the name of this dish ? (added photo URL)

It looks very much like what they call in the army a 'Bloom'.
Potatoes, carrots, cellery, peas, tomatoe paste and lamb cassarole.

I think you,re right Get Real but I'm sure I can see a stringy bit of kotopoulon hanging in there also

:) Yeah, they usually cook it with Chicken or Lamb.

What the hell are the potatoes doing in a bizeli giaxni??? Unless that's how they make them in your village:)

Every bizelli giaxni I've ever tried in Cyprus had potatoes and some kind of meat in it. It's your village we need to enquire about dear kafene... :lol:

Yeah me too...It wouldn't be the same without the potatoes or the meat :D

I can't believe I'm driveling on about a stupid dish... but I've been very ill lately so I can't concentrate on politics anyway! :(
