You dont know about the link between Lovers Rock-House Parties-and Wallpaper no? lol

If you have a house party in Cyprus let me know - dont think they have those proper all night/all morning house parties out there.

ISalice, If you are going to take up Icemans offer, I hope it will be in AUgust, count me in and plus 10. A reggae revival would be great , specially the classics.

This post is going way off topic. Please try to keep it based on what it was written about.

I am not really talking about Black people who are considered Cypriot (likr the Sudanese Cypriots in the north), but rather relationships and children between Black people and Cypriots.

While we're at it, what about Pakistanis or Indians? Are there many in Cyprus [who have married/had children with Cypriots]?

Leon.

Sure you have racist people in Cyprus, but unfortunately you have racists everywhere. Right now Cyprus is changing, it is becoming more multicultural just like England did back in the day, and just like in England people's views will change (Although your always going to get your 'hardcore' racists..). I have to say that I haven't seen that much racism in Cyprus, actually much more in England, but that's probably because I live in England. I do have a cousin, who although he's a very nice guy, say's 'he doesn't really like Black people', which annoyed me a lot, so I asked him why? And he couldn't give me a straight answer, so I asked, when he comes to England to study and a black guy come's up to him to chat, would he talk to him? And he answered of course, and so I said, Okay what if he's really nice and wants to become your friend, would you be his friend? And he answered yes...As you can imagine, I started off the conversation feeling very angry and finished it off just feeling really very confused.. :?

I do know that there are black Turkish Cypriots, but recently I met a Black Greek Cypriot, well she was half, her father moved to Africa and married a local girl, and when this lady was young she moved to Cyprus for 17 years, and her time there couldn't have been that bad, because she couldn't stop talking about Cyprus and how much she wants to go back...

And talking about marrying someone who is black (or in fact any ethnicity..) as I've said, I live in B'ham England, where there is a Greek Cypriot community, although quite big it's no where near as big as London’s Greek Cypriot community so they are slightly more traditional, and recently as I've said before, one of the local priests daughter and niece married two young black men, and there were no problems...

Ah yes reggae in Cyprus, well in the village that I stay in there's a group of young lads that love reggae and Bob Marley, and they walk about in there Rastafarian hats, although it's quite funny because one of these guys again, 'doesn't really like Black people’ but LOVES Bob Marley'! Which is a slight contradiction I think. I remember when he told me I just thought, so who's going to tell him that Bob Marley is in fact urm, well...black.…
