giving up beer (for a bit) suggestions please

Postby villawagen » Sun Apr 15, 2007 12:00 am

i have come to the conclusion, that unfortunately i am going to have to give up one of the loves of my life, that is known as carlsberg or keo :(
this is due to my ever increasing beer belly, growing out of control !!!!
however i do not want to give up alcohol, as i like it too much

so what should i drink as a substitute which is not going to make me fatter and help me reduce my waistline.

i thought about gin and tonic or vodka and something !!!!! but i dont really know to much about alternatives to beer.

anyway my new choice of drink should not be to expensive like wkd or smirnoff type drinks, or make me look like a big girl when i am supping from my glass

all suggestions welcome so that i can make a decision for my best tipple going forward

i thank yow :D

Here's an idea VW..

Keep a bottle of scotch of your choice in your freezer and just pour yourself 1-2cm whenever you feel like a drink. Take it straight with a small, thin, filtered cigar, preferably in the garden or on your verandah to keep the kids from choking.. :)

The result is a fast "fix" that adds nothing to your weight and is quite economical because it's unlikely you'll drink it in great quantities. Scotch tastes awful at ambient temperature but not so when chilled and it doesn't freeze over... that's one of the "secrets" of scotch. Try it!

Yeah, I was going to suggest scotch too. But I never tried it chilled so I'll give that a go soon.

Has to be wine for me, I love a good wine. Not as fat making as beer unless you drink it by the pint.

try zvania the same way, but not the stuff you get in the shops. Has to be the proper stuff distilled in the small villages.

Start smoking pot instead. It will have the same effect and since it is just smoke it shouldn't make you fatter. That or cut the substances and start drinking water. ;)

is a myth, mostly. Beer is a low-calories product but it's blocked the digestion. So if you don't eat while you are drinking beer, and also you do not drink 20 pints per hour it's quite difficult to get any belly. :)

Though, tequila, scotch, whisky, etc ... but _not_ vodka or zivania they to increase your hunger. :)
