anyone knows a good and cheap place to buy computers hardware and gadgets in cyprus?
some place that can compete with US prices so i wont have to ship my computers to cyprus....

You will never find US prices in Cyprus for electronics. Try www.pixmania.com.cy not as cheap as some US stores but shipping to Cyprus is cheap and fast.

I buy all my stuff from iPelagos.com It's in the US but delivery is less than a week. First time I ordered from them though in back in August I didn't know they were in the US so when I recived my package I had a pleasant surppise paying the VAT. But even with the VAt the service is good and the prices are still much lower than here in Cyprus. I ordered many times ever since for friends and family to the point they now give me discount 10% on every item I buy.
However I could not find a website that sells gaming consoles, like PS3, and games that ships to Cyprus. Does anyone know such a website. I would appreciate it.

try play.co.uk I also used lik-sang from Hong Kong but they closed them down because they were selling to Europe consoles and games that were destined for Asia

Play don't ship hardware. We got books from them at pretty good prices (better than a Cypriot or even a UK bookstore) with no postage charges. Just remember to switch to Euro or it says it cannot ship to Cyprus.

As for computer hardware I don't think I'll be using a store here again. I needed a new ethernet switch urgently the other day so got it from the store across the road from where I live (nice and easy). Price was £42 when Pixmania had it for £17 (Cypriot). Nice. Only downside with Pixmania is they don't have an english version of the Cypriot site, and it is not 100% the same as the UK one. And they don't accept orders on the UK site for Cyprus. I asked. I told them I can pretty much get by with a Firefox translation plugin (works ok, but stuffs up the programming on the order stage so it doesn't work - but you can get by with juggling) but was a bit wary about doing this for the payment stage (should really know what you are "signing"). Support staff basically said don't worry about it, nice and easy. Sigh. Think I'll wait for my Cypriot credit card before doing that one. Shame because it is a hell of a lot cheaper (and I assume postage is minimum because it is supposed to be in Cyprus) than pretty much anywhere else I've seen.

Console stuff I have got from the China division of http://www.divineo.net/ Ok, so you have to pay postage, but the prices are pretty good.

Great site. I take it they are not located in Cyprus. Is the VAT and postage expensive? Where are they located.

Yes, it's true. Play won't ship to Cyprus. iPelagos is the only Cypriot site that ships to Cyprus directly from but also I found another website here in Cyprus that sells computers and other hardware. It's CYPRUS-PC.COMN
They have quite a few things.

Great site the ipelagos, thanx guys,found them really cheaper on PDA'S compare to cypriot shops.waiting for the end of the month to order something.

I think they are located in France. The VAT is always 15% and postage is very cheap, around 8-10 pounds even when you get heavy things and it is delivered at your door by dhl within 3 days.
