White Watertanks on roofs

Postby My_Friend » Thu Apr 12, 2007 9:40 am

Why put them on the roof, if you can put them in the cellar and use a waterpump.

The water would be much colder also.

I think they're quite ugly and houses would look better without them.

Opinions please.

we put them on the roof to increase pressure of the water.if you notice there is a glass frames as well.we get solar energy to heat the water.

you are right they looks ugly. But we are happy with them.

You could place the solar panels on the roof, and the tank underground, in the concrete fundament.

Perfectly cold and warm water.

We have 'luxury' villas, designed to look beautiful, costing many hundreds of thousands of pound and then stick ugly lumps of plastic on the roof, it is madness. Put them in the ground and have pressurised water systems; and why, when we have so much 'free (solar heated) water do we have cold fill washing machines and dishwashers!!!

Lana Totally off topic, but I see a guy called Aresti Aresti was arrested in Larnaca yesterday! :-)

Why use a waterpump when you can use the free and reliable gravity to do the job? ;) I think functionality is more important than aesthetics.

Hi Sotos

Is gravity available everywhere in Cyprus?
