This is a video of a very famous Turkish Cypriot fashion designer. His work is just AMAZING! Seriously, watch the 2nd link and see what I mean....

At 2:45 of this clip you see a short snippet of one of his most famous shows for which the Cyprus problem was the inspiration. The models walked out on a catwalk which consisted of furtniture, and ended up literally wearing all the tables, sofas and everything else that was on the runway. He was inspired by the refugees that fleed their homes leaving everything behind hence why he designed wearable furniture (all in the name of art ofcourse).

It was crap -- like many other extreme designers I'm afraid they don't live in the real world.

Trouble is that nobody actually tells them their stuff is crap-- those visiting the show are more interested in the free food and booze and of course just being seen attending.
