Sounds like the 457 was a nice car and lotsa fun. Its a bugger when a tree jumps out in front of you like that. I've had a couple of cars over the years that thought they were acrobats and tried the double back somersault with a twist...unfortunately they were not olympic athletes and the landings were far from the "perfect 10"
I like jeeps too and the V8 cherokee is particularly nice though like you said the transmissions are chunky.
Don't know what car I'm getting when I get there..company is supplying one so looking at the prices of cars there itll probably be some old shitbox but its free so who cares and the reason why I'll get a bike.
Beverly glad to see there are a number of aussies there..we tend to get around a bit...there has never been a place I've been to in the world where another Aussie has'nt beaten me to it and I've been into lots and lots of very remote areas - one particular place in Borneo took three days up a river on a dug out canoe to get there and I thought I must be the first whiteman let alone Aussie, but while I was there I found a little railway tunnel that was built by the POWs during the second world war so obviously not the first by a long shot.
I expect that most of the Aussies there will be younger then I am (42 - and therefore the answer to life the universe and everything atm) but I can still kick my heels up with the best of them. I am moving there for work so my priorities will be different to most of theirs who are just travelling and seeing the world.
As for your hubby well have to see..no guarantees but we can certainly talk when I get there.
and Niki...and the problem with that is?
