Good to see you have your book of famous Australian quotes on hand

Greece gives us Aritotle and our contribution to world culture is "dead dingoes dongers" and "thats not a knife" oh well !!!

I am from North Queensland - Great Barrier Reef and rainforest country though I have travelled far and wide around the great southern land including Tasmania. So while I have been there I don't have two heads and six fingers on each hand.

Though it does remind me of another famous Australian saying used when talking to a "sheila"

"Show us ya map of tassy love"

greece might have given aristotle to the world but we have given aerial ping pong to the world mate...it sorta cancels each other out

So while I have been there I don't have two heads and six fingers on each hand.

spoken like a true banana bender, so says the mexican

go the blues................

Blues supporter!!!

It's starting to make sense now

I am a rugby league man myself (go the mighty cowboys) but when it comes to the kick and giggle game I am a Bombers supporter.

Blues have had a good start to the year (couldn't be any worse then theyve been doing)

i am not fussed up when it comes to mud wrestling, but i do admit union has a better appeal to me as its a non stop action game, apart from needing cojones to play it

anyway looking forward to the move? and for how long?

I am moving to Cyprus lock stock and barrel for this job.

It was a surprise to get a call from Cyprus offering me my job and I thought it was a G up.

Turns out it wasn't so I thought what the heck why not. I do hope it works out though as I left a very very good job here in Australia for the move.

Got rid of everything I have here to make the move. Very sad that I had to get rid of the SS Ute and the motorbike :( . The import duties are enormous and worth more then the car or bike.

Still it gives me an excuse to get a new Harley when I get there :D though they are significantly more expensive there then here as well.

I am really looking forward to it especially in the regard that Europe is heading in a different direction to Australia which is following blindly in the USA footsteps.

Plus I am looking forward to being immersed in the enormous amount of history that still exists in that part of the world.

I also hear that the food is great and that the tavernas are a terrific place to go out to. I think I'll fit in very well in the lifestyle there.

As mentioned I will be doing some work on Cyprus itself when I get there. After this I have a project I have to complete for the company in Slovakia and then maybe another one in Georgia before heading back to Cyrpus for another project there.

sounds good mate, and i pressumed you are single. even better but i don't know about losing the ss ute  its a tough choice, but if you can swindle a harley out of it, you kicked ass...I got rid of the fatboy a while back as i got sick of always polishing the damn thing

i am also no stranger to living abroad as i spent a good part of my life living all over china, singapore, taiwan and bangkok. In china i was involved with making spare parts for Honda  Now I commute once a month, 7-10 days at a time, but different job. the passion for china is still there, food, people and especially the raging in shanghai, its first class  I am of to china this coming saturday for a 10 day sting. The first 8 days will be in a remote area, about 7 hrs by car from shanghai, in a little village of 500,000 people and 2 days for R&R in shanghai.

Anyway there are a couple of aussies already living in cyprus, and members of this board, and you owe to hunt them down and have one helluva time.

nothing better than skips getting it on in another country

ps. if you need anything ley me know, i am a very resourcefull man, especially in the computer field. we supply the high end quadro graphics cards to the mining industry through companies that they use for outsourcing, CSC and Logica

Yes I am single - with a head like mine its no surprise why (sighs)

Yes its a very sad thing to lose the SS awesome bit of gear. 5.7 litre V8 with 300HP at the back wheels. (Stock... wink) Though I must admit dodging kangaroos at 240 isnt much fun. Local cop hasselled me to take him for a burn and was impressed that the ute went faster then his pursuit car. Mine tops out at about 250.

The new 2007 6 litre HSV Ute tops out at 280km/h.

Dont know what bike I'll get there..was thinking about the 1200 sporty but really havent decided. Will wait till I get there and settle in before deciding.

I like the sound that you have some connections around the world as this could be a very advantageous partnership.

We are buying some of our equipment from Europe but a lot of it is just not made anywhere in Europe. So a lot of the stuff is either coming from Canada or Australia.

Obviously the Chinese make everything but with what we do the quality of the gear has to be first class to survive the mining environments. So having someone who knows someone is a must.

Apart from this I'm sure well catch up for a cool ale on a warm afternoon ..you know what us skips are like lol

hehehe, get used to going about very slow as I couldn't imagine little cyprus having the stretches you are used to...donks ago i used to drive a 457 and when i took my foot of the brake i used to humm at 60klicks without touching the accelarator...i managed to twist it around a pole and that was the end of that. hhehehe...what a mean fucker though...today i drive a jeep, with a 4.7 V8, it goes alright but i think it needs a better transmission and the governer to be taken out, which i will do as soon as the warranty is out...also I am getting a new chip for the computer, programmed for performance rather than pussy footing around...boys and their toys...hahahaha...but then again its a skip and a hop over to the german autobans for you

as far as the video cards we get all the quadro VGA straight form vNidia as they are the only ones that make them, no choice, either nVidia or ATI...we chose nVidia as we are already direct nVidia partners...we make the ge force series VGA cards as we get the chips from them...our clients include lenovo, HP and DELL and these fuckers don't want failures, and they don't mind paying a high price, so make everything to the nVidia spec. hence the trips to China.

take a look here a very good mate of mine owns it

Welcome to the forum. It does my heart good to read your banter(my dad was from melbourne) Very interested in your reasons for coming to Cyprus. There are quite a few aussies in cyprus, mostly young and in the bars, time share etc so you should be able to chew the fat about home should you want to.My other half has a hgv licence so iff you can use him he might be persueded to get back behind the wheel!

Definition of aussie foreplay. are you awake sheila? te he !
