noone said there wasn't any big fellow, its just if you were to follow the discussion here the time frame under discussion is from 1974 and onwards.

i would have thought as a jurno you would have picked up on this.

Hi pitsilos - as there's reference to 'a merciless internicine war' I gathered that the period 1963-67 was also included.

If that link doesn't work, go here: http://www.un.org/documents/sc/res/1964/scres64.htm

and open Resolution 186

There are other resolutions in the same year which show the situation getting progressively worse between Cyprus and Turkey.

hi reportfromcyprus, our newly good friend mutaga opened this thread to enlighten us about "confessions", well opinions to everyone else, gathered from individuals opinions in '74 and onwards. so he was quite specific on his request.

The facts are that the Turks violated and continue to violate the human rights of Greek Cypriots. They oppressed us and butchered during the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st century (including today). During this time they butchered over 30.000 Greek Cypriots (6000 of which as recently as 1974) and they have ethnically cleansed 200.000.

Sure we committed some crimes against TC over a tiny period and they had a some 100s of casualties (and during the exact same period they killed some 100s of our own as well). Thats a drop in the ocean compared to what they did to us. So how can that be an excuse for them to continue with yet more crimes and illegalities against us?

So Murtaga what if you prove that we killed some 100s of your own and that our relationship during some period was conflicting? In fact nobody denies that we killed some 100s of your kind, and nobody denies that you killed 10s of thousands of our kind. So, how can that excuse even more crimes against us?????

I think its more of a case of not wasting anymore time with your selective quotes and childish way of thinking.
