Hi Lee
The thing is that I live in Cyprus and am holidaying for two weeks in the UK in August; if it rains for that two weeks at least i know i am going home to sunshine. I now do it the opposite way to most holidaymakers :)

Thorpe is a pretty village with some really nice people.
If you choose to move to Cyprus you will find that most things are available here but you will reminisce over certain things.

As for pie 'n mash; I guess you can take the boy out of Essex but you can't take Essex out of the boy :D :D

Sorry Lee, I disagree. for me these are my favourites (in order of merit)

1. Harrow Green; Leytonstone

2. Heath Pie 'n Mash Becontree Heath Dagenham (also owns the P+M & Chippie next to Romford Market) (info for Lana))

Equal second. Walton-on-Naze

I havn't been to East Ham High street for years, was/is the shop called Moodies?

PS. It rained today, just like typical British bank holiday weather, never mind it will brighten up tomorrow when i'm back at work :)
