I know article did not refer to Nicosia, but if you see how built up it is getting I cannot see rest of the island will be far off.

Kyrenia is not as unspoilt as it was and only been to Karpas a few times and can see difference from 10 years ago when I first visited.

Although there has to be development I do very much hope that a lot more thought goes into how and where this happens. Perhaps the downturn in property sales, which I do not believe will stop for long, will give them some time to think about what they are doing. It seems to be a problem all over the world and you would think that people had learned something by now but hey ho!

I fear much of the north will be spoiled as much of the south has been; can people here only design 'box' houses? I hope to visit the north next month; for a couple of days - I have not been for 3 years and wish to see how much it has changed.
