I want to know more about CYPRUS

Postby Pencil » Fri Apr 06, 2007 6:21 pm

Hello everyone,
I am Vietdung from Vietnam, I intend to study abroad in Cyprus. I have some questions and I hope some people in Cyprus can help me.
Is that English very popular in Cyprus, may I speak English to communicate with people, If I just know English, may I take some works while I am studying for my living cost? How many money will I recieve per hour?
How about the INTERCOLLEGE ? I intend to study there.
Can u list to me some interesting and good university?
Thank you very much.

We do not have a surplus of colleges here. Intercollege is probably the best following the University of Cyprus.

People here communicate in English, but don't expect much fluency. About the pay, you can find a part-time job in a café or something, but the pay is low for college students, specially foreigners

In Cyprus, the living standards are high and the money earned is not sufficient.

Intercollege and Cyprus College are the best, followed by Frederic. But if you are foreign student you can not work in Cyprus legally.

Most stuff you aren't allowed to do in Cyprus go unnoticed, so working illegally won't be a problem :) The thing is that the boss will knacker you and you may be in a position not able to say no. But I met many foreign(non-EU) students that work part-time

yes i agree that some things go un-noticed in this country.. but telling someone to work illegally.. well that's not the thing to do.. if he's caught, he will be deported and his employer will be charged.. if deported he will be blacklisted from returning..

What are you doing klik? Propulsion of the criminals?

As for you my dear pencil...welcome to the forum first of all.
Intercollege is one of our best college and soon it will be a private University. Cyprus college and Frederick are equal good as the intercollege...well what exactly you are going to study? I am very familiar with the higher education in Cyprus so I might be able to help you with any of your questions. The courses are all in English and you can communicate very well with English with people all over Cyprus...

As for a job yes it is illegal...but i do know lots of the students that they work as well but that depend...you can ask from your college to discuss the opportunity...

I am sure you will find this link very interesting and you will probably find all the info that you ask in it!

I have my bachelor degree from Intercollege...so you can pm me and ask me anything you want about that

You can just post here to keep in touch. I and I think most people don't feel comfortable posting their emails online because then they will get a lot of spam ;)
