To early for that Colinos...it is only the crucifixion today....

HAPPY EASTER FROM ME AS WELL TO ALL OF YOU AND TO YOUR FAMILIES!
I hope you all have a lovely time with your families!
And for those who are not Christians...well enjoy the Easter brake if you have any or not have a nice weekend!!!

Pitsile I think the Cypriots will go easy with the avgolemoni but not with souvla and the rest of the food in the East Sunday meal

  What outlaws???
Why your easter have to collide???

Well in my family we keep the tradition...after midnight ... when we come back from church we have dinner with the chicken and the avgolemoni and wine...egg and flaounes! Just that...and on Sunday Easter Lunch we have souvla etc. But the most visitors in the hospital are after Sundays lunch...

the outlaws, my inlaws, are australians and they are catholics.

because easter is both the same date this year, we will be having midnight dinner at my parents, like you, and on sunday lunch with my wifes parents. so sunday its gravy time instead of souvla and sheftalia.

And a very happy Easter from old Miltiades to all of you . Any flaounes going , I like the ones without the sultanas. In Paphos we also had PASKIES a bit like a meat pie with a cheese filling round the edges , oh boy that brings back memories . A few years back I was in my village church on KALO LOGOS , when all hell broke loose when a koukoufiaos , an awl , burst into the church and plonked himself onto the top of the crucifix . A kid threw a tsakra -firework - it failed to explode , as it were , and landed on the priest's head jus as he was about to pronounce XRISTOS ANESTI .At that precise moment the Tsakra went off , to the priests anger , and he was heard by the entire congregation shouting out RE GAMOTO KERATOSOU MESA !
Needless to say the awl just sat there taking the piss !
