LOL Miltiades...I hope this year you will be able to hear "Xristos Anesti" without any swear words from the priest!!

Well my mum is from Paphos and I do know what Paskies are...and are really tasty...also a tradition in Paphos is to put "kanaouri" in the flaounes...do you know what kanaouri is???

We made our flaounes on Thursday like the tradition say...you are welcome to have some with us!!!

As for you Pitsile...I am sorry for you ... they will spoil your Sunday Cypriot pleasure 8) 8) 8) You are welcome to my place for a that pleasure!!

Even if we live in Nicosia ... and we dont have the village life any more...well we keep the traditions according to the East celebrations and traditions...I was out on Wednesday night and I came back at 2 am on Thursday ...so i didnt sleep at all... we start with the kneading that time...I manage to sleep in the afternoon...but I always enjoy that...we do bread, cheese pie and olive pie as well! I love Cyprus and every tradition we have!!! I will try to pass those to my children as well!!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Easter. Not celebrating on this side, but have bought eggs for the kids and will do a treasure hunt.

I will have to remember to phone my parents in UK tomorrow.

Jo :)
