The reason that I posted here was because a lot of the people that frequent here have experience from abroad.

Having a single sticky topic will not suffice. It will be chaotic and unorganized. If the forum admin is willing to create a different forum then please be my quest.

My intention is not to monopolize but to promote the exchange of ideas in such a manner that will bring sufficient momentum and cause some changes.

efty, I guess the only action you can take to improve the situation is to start your own ISP and provide decent services at reasonable prices.
raymanuva, that's true that Cyprus is an island etc. But have a look at broadband prices in, let's say Hawaii, which is a lot more far away from continents than Cyprus.
What I have heard is that despite the fact that they say "Cyprus telecom market has been liberalized blah blah blah" all submarine fiber optics connectivity of Cyprus is still controlled by Cyta (they have exclusive lease or something) so all ISPs here are directly or indirectly affected by Cyta's price fixing.
Disclaimer: that's just what I've heard. Read: rumors.

Why don't you start your own ISP not just talk about how bad existing ones are?
