Is there such a thing as North - South ex-pat rivalry?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Is there such a thing as North - South ex-pat rivalry?

How do the ex-pats of the South get along with the ex-pats from the North?

Is there a rivalry of some sort? Does one side look down upon the other?

What are your experiences?

The ex-pats that go to north are criminal fugitives. An illegal state with no extradition agreements is like a paradise for them.

Those that live on GC property are opportunist carpetbaggers, I despise them more than the facists/nationalists on the island. I am amazed that the GCs allow them to go the south to buy things they can't get in the north. They whinge about the GCs, quoting Akritas to justify their thieving but they are more than happy to use the ROC when it suits them. There is a website in the north run by a brit, sometimes interesting but always back slapping and self congratulatory about the wonderful time they are having on someone elses property. As Jeremy Clarkson once said, " may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their underpants" forever (knickers too).

Personally I can't help but despise ex-pats who buy property that could be GC in the North. I would never trust or give the time of day to these people. Maybe I generalise too much but it's an instinct now, I can't help my reaction.

Yeah you do, so instead maybe you should just stick to whatever land you are in now :)

I did say people who buy property that could be GC - not people who live in the North, I'm sure you're just lovely! A bit over sensitive maybe???
