If turkey genuinely wanted the betterment of turkish Cypriots they would have had a better life by now. And I do not mean the very few who have benefited from the current division but the majority of turkish speaking cypriots.

I sit back sometimes and wonder how a turkish speaking family would feel knowing that the home they are living in, is not theirs and that one day they stand to be uprooted yet again. I wonder what it feels being a turkish speaking cypriot knowing that on the other side of the divide people consider them thieves. I wonder what this means for a persons psyche and self esteem. Recently I read an article from a turkish speaking cypriot scholar/ doctor talking about a depressed society in the north. I wonder whetehr Mr talat and his regime who stand to gain most from the current division of cyprus are thinking and have thought for years about the plight of the working class turkish speaking cypriot who was up rooted from their village in Paphos and has been told Cyprus is not your homeland but this fake regime we have created is your country a country that is not recognised by anyone else in the world except this violent abhorent motherland called Turkey.

I wonder if the powers that be that sit in Ankara enjoying the power, wealth and manipulation really think of some 90,000 turkish speaking cypriots who are slowly but surely becoming a minority in their so called country being turkified and out numbered. I wonder if they care. I assure you none the least do they care. Whilst turkey is developing and growing and surving on american dollar the turkish speakers are leaving in droves. Why do turkish speaking cypriots travel each day to work in the south, why do they use RoC public health? if the answer is they are getting an income, they are better off doing this then the regime in the north has failed them for 32 years and another 32 to come. It is time for solution so that these people can get on with their lives. Talat doesn't give a shit, he lives in the prestigious part of Lefkosia, he drives in a mercedes benz he is on a good salary probably owns companies as well.

Turkish speaking cypriots are manipulated each and every day, wait we will get end to isolation then we will be independent, do you really thik that will be possible if it did not happen in the past 32 years what makes you guys think it will happen now or in another 32 years. The greeks will opse it with all might because they feel hard done by, I will support economic embargo as long as I live. Because I do not believe that people have the right to invcade a country, kill people and be rewarded for it.

The best option is to get on to work immediately to come to a long lasting solution wher all cypriots are free to practice what they believ so long as it does not harm another, provide policies that ensure safety for individauls against racism and discrimination, to share the resources equally in a united european cyprus. Talat needs to wake up that this is an opportunity to resolve the issues. Or Cyprus will not be unified or permanantly partitioned for another 50 years till my generation and that before me drops off. Whilst we are dropping off the same generations in the north are also dropping off, that is the reality, my friend.

Since WW1 how much land has Greece grabbed in it's expansionist dreams and how much land has Turkey grabbed?

They call me a nationalist because I fight for the rights of my people, they do the same but don't see themselves for what they are, and they are no less nationalist than I am.

I see them as idiots who don't know what the f**k they are talking about and in their desperation they even beg Turks to take their sides against other Turks like myself.

Keep on crying you beggers, you deserve nothing less.

PS: How many times was Greece been found guilty on human rights last year alone and fined for it heavily? Also, Greece was caught with it's pants down lying to the Eu and stealing billions of Euros. The only reason why Greece is out of the shite it was in in the 80's was because of EU handout and the money Greece lied about and stole from the EU.

Go on, call me a nationalist again and make my day, again.

Yet again my friend, you are only talking from a GC point of view, what about the despicable acts of the Greek and GC governments? why is it so hard for you to grasp how your stance is viewed from where i am standing, which actually IS in the TRNC!

You are not that impartial after all...

I also look out from my window to the borderline and wonder how the GCs on the other side feel about us, and what they think of the way we have been mistreated for the past 50 years or so, and how can they -if not ever so blindly- live with themselves while supporting the isolation's we have been suffering from, regardless of our age, profession, or involvement with the conflict, or even Turkey, and could it all be because of anything else but a simple racist hate towards all Turks? Because i simply cannot grasp how can one nation have so much hate towards an entire other nation without thinking about them as individuals, therefore making you a first class RACIST!

I also wonder what they are planning to achieve by suffocating me, by removing my rights, apart from having to leave my country (which was their initial plan anyways) there is not a whole lot i can do, so don't blame our "Turkification" and current problems all on Turkey, your ideology and fuck ups has given them a great vacuum to work in, and to be honest i do believe that even if turkey hadnt intervened there was not going to be any real peace for a TC on this island and we would have had to leave for some other reason anyways.

So if this is justice then screw the south, i will happily deal with my pain, knowing that it is justified by the fact that anyone who is supporting it will not get a single dime out of me until they approach me like a real human being, and accept that i am the rightful citizen of this island and negotiate accordingly, otherwise i will also fight the opposite way for as long as i live on this planet!

Therefore my friend, please don't talk about harmony, respect and acceptance while insisting that isolation's should continue as long as you live, because it only turns your beautiful post into an oxymoronic argument and shows that in reality you are not a "humanist" but a human who is just as bitter as the next person here...

Eric, why don't you tell us ?

Go read my thread on the Republic of Hatay.

Would you agree that Turkey pissed on the rights of 60% of the people of the Republic of Hatay ?

Do you agree that Hatay "must be Turkish-ruled" ?

Shah! Humanist!.........if only I could lend you my eyes and then you'd both be able to see how well you reflect each other and in a true Cypriot spirit.....LOL! You both looking at it from your own cultural perspectives. Can't you just say to heck with what our ancestors did, that was then and this is Now, so how can we move forward? We aren't our ancestors, we have inherited some of their legacy like language and religion, but we are not them.

Shah, you have made your point...... you want to spike the grreek cypriots that is fine. I have never argeued for nothing less than a shared land. Yes one that was similar to the one before the 74 invasion of Cyprus. I am not going to enter into discussion priot to the time I was born.

I did not qite get your argument around the trnc .... but if I got the gist of it is that I do not recognise something that has been taken by force, that people had been killed for and something that denies me and another 800,000 people the right to their country if that offends you well that's too bed. Like I said lets keep you in the north and isoltated and us in the south bearing the cross of our lost country.

The irony of this thing is that you cannot see that I am saying that turkish speaking cypriots have as much right to the whole of the Island as do greek speaking cypriots. I have actually eelevated your syttus to one of equal partners but your wish to devalue who you are and isolate yourselves to the smallest portion of the country that is built on stolen land/

About me being a first class racist well that is simply and purely your perception of me.

I do not place posts indvidually and forgetting what I have posted 3 days ago. I also remember supporting the women of Tochni and speaking againgst the greek speaking cypriots acts of cruelty towards turkish cypriots from that village. I ahve also spoken about settlers and the need to consider their plight should a solution be found, I have spoken about a regiter of greek speaking refugees who will not return to trnc so that their property can be exchanged and made available for turkish speaking cypriots wanting to stay in the north, I have never suggetse we do not employe turkish cypriots in the north. I have supported the openning of Ledra street so that turkish speaking cypriot shop owners can benefit by the passing traffic. I have spoken about turkish language being taught at every school at every level . I have posted for the RoC to use Church land in the noth to accommodate for turkish speaking cypriots who may currently occupy greek refugee property. If that is the trait of a racist of first class well then I accept your accusation with pride. I have argued for unification of my country and my people. You see me as different to you I see you as human beings, Cypriots who happen to speak another language, I want a unified cyprus so that turkish speaking cypriots and mostly the working class to benefit from all that a unified cypurs will provide. Including the up and coming wealth of oil. I have argued that the RoC start using turkish language on road signs, I have argued for the RoC to rebuild the turkish speaking villages around Cyprus and hand then back to its original inhabitants so long as they are not double dipping. If that makes me a racist well let that be.

I am not recognising the trnc because it is built on land taken from cypriots withut their consent. allow every greek speaking refugee the right of return and I couldn't care less what you call it. This is not an argument of who has suffered any more it is an argument of JUSTICE and Fairness. I do not support the trnc as much as I wouldne't support the 500.000 greeks in Australia who may one day decide to incvade Melbourne and declare it the Greek Republic of Southeastern Australia.

I also think of every working class cypriot person who has not benefited in any way by this situation like I said you may have benefited personally , I have not I lost an uncle to the war and my family immigrated because my parents God love them did not want us to grow up in a war torn country.

So go ahead and accuse me of first class racist because I care about my fellow cypriots who have been isolated for 32 years and I am saying enough lets end that crapo. We know that the path to solution is BBF so lets not waste time lest get to work and solve this shit. You choose to label that as racism fine. I call it sensibility and fairness.
