Alexandre,
Have been reading the 1st Chapter of your report and was interested to see the diverging views of TC's regarding how they feel about the Greek Cypriots.
Some Turkish Cypriots will make the Greek Cypriots feel
more than welcome. Other Turkish Cypriots, in contrast, will most likely object to the sudden presence of Greek Cypriots in their midst - and this factor should be taken into account when designing a new Solution Plan.
I wonder why there is such a conflicting view amongst TC's. Could it be that a large number of TC's are employed directly by the 'state' support the two-state thesis and the rest of the TC's that don't have such links with government have the opposite view?
I say this because Denktas supporters are or have had much closer links with the 'state', given good houses with 'state' title deeds, get relatively good salaries compared to ordinary TC's etc. This may account for the high proportion of TC's that do not consider the GC's as co-citizens.
