Do you blame the politicians?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Do you blame the politicians?

Postby Sotos » Mon Apr 02, 2007 12:06 am

Some times people blame the politicians for not solving the Cyprus problem. So here is the hard question. People in here are discussing for ages. Did you see many agreements? I didn't! So what are the chances that negotiations can bring solution? I think NONE! Turks took our country with war and they will not give it back without another one!! :x Politicians and negotiations can do nothing!

NO, after being on this forum for approximately 6 months now, I blame every Cypriot, for we do not take posistive affirmative action with our respective governments to speed up the process for unification.

Go easy on war Sotos. That will nly bring more bloodshed. The UN and EU need to take more responsibility on this matter and say to Turkey you have been found guilty of violation of human rights in Cyprus, Turkish Speaking Cypriots are probably lkiving worse off today than they did 32 years ago get your arse out or we will not allow you into the EU whilt you are occupying one of our States and secondly the UN ought to impose economic embargo on Turkey till she moves her occupying forces out of Cyprus. END OF STORY.

I agree with your conclusion and remind that there are different types of war these days... financial, psychological, pressure, etc.

yeah Sotos you are a genius, start a war so we can take the rest of the island this time, that will solve the problem for good, i do fancy your brand new houses as well

Btw humanist, i don't agree with the living standards thing, many people are still very happy to have the army there until a real solution is found, not many TCs share your views on the matter, in fact i have never met any who do, 32 years ago life was PRETTY bad apparently, my grandpa used to tell me how he wasn't allowed to leave his village to go to the hospital and almost died because of it, not to mention having to wait for the UN to bring in basic food supplies...

You should have a word with Papadop who is demanding that Turkey opens its ports to GC ships and its airports to GC planes.

Problem for you is that these days every GC household has at least one G3 and 200 rounds of ammo and full personal gear; the average GC between the ages of 18..55 can turn from civilian to soldier in about 10 minutes and be ready for combat. Good luck taking their houses, you'll need it.
