Do you blame the politicians?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

welll its easy to say "if this and if that" AFTER its all over, who are you to judge Turkeys military performance anyways, the results are pretty clearly written all over history, you can IF it all you like now

On another note, do you actually remember the last time Turkey has lost any soil?

I think you guys are confusing yourselves with Spartans

Allow me to refresh your memory:

"As a result, through tactical errors Turkey lost an estimated 15 aircraft during the invasion. It sank one of its own destroyers. Casualties were considered light, but included some 300 men killed and another 500 wounded. Had there been any substantial Greek Cypriot forces and tanks in the northern part of the island, casualties undoubtedly would have been considerably higher. One military observer suggested, for example, that because the Turkish airborne assault came at too high an altitude, a better organized and equipped Greek Cypriot army could have easily eliminated an entire Turkish airborne regiment swinging helplessly in the air.”

15 aircraft, 2 destroyers (there was actually two that sunk), 300 dead, 500 wounded!

One could be forgiven for thinking you were fighting against the US!!!

So which opponent caused you that much damage Shahmaran?

Cyprus! The downtrodden little island overcome by a coup with 18% of its population clearly on your side even!!!

And you want to act tough??? I’d go hide if I were you!

There you go with your IFS and BUTS, i think if you want to get technical about it, you should also look into how that army was put together, and then maybe you can understand that yet again you were defeated by an army that was quickly mustered together against all odds, so i guess you should enjoy your "almost didn't loose" attitude while you can, because thats the best you will ever do and you do actually need it, after all, when was the last time you won any war? (massacring defenseless villages doesnt count as war btw)

SO let me refresh YOUR memory my friend,

Spartans love WAR!

Greeks love young boys!

Stick to what you are good at and dont get them mixed up, ok sunshine?

Sounds like you're getting upset Shahmaran so you're now calling me "sunshine"!

Turkey isn't famous for her military prowess so forget about it!
As I said, when push comes to shove our LOK (Lokatsides) might even reach Istanbul and remove your Fez!

Have a feast of what this little island is capable of these days...

How old are you guys?

Why don't you arranmge a fight between yourselfs so that we can all get rid of you warlovers once and for all? Cyprus has had its fair share of war and kllings so lets try to heal those wounds before even considering to open more with yet another war.

I'm just trying to educate the poor guy. I told him early on that we're armed to the teeth and he just got condescending!

Spartans love WAR!
Yep - 2,500 - 3,000 odd years ago. Just shows how much the Greeks had civilised themselves as opposed to the Turks who still love war and have an almost intimate relationship with their military.

Greeks love young boys!

Go do your homework - Athenians 'loved young boys' as an act of endearment before war. This act wasnt embraced by Spartans, Minoans, Macedonians, etc.

Besides, Turks smell bad and have square heads.

Condescending, aww look who is getting upset, did i make you feel small I'm sorry, i was just trying to be friendly :)

You cannot be seriously comparing RoC with Turkey are you?! Tell me you are joking...

Whats this a Cypriot army website advertising, are you kidding me man?! What am i supposed to do, look at the cool pictures? Is this how you are going to "educate" me?

Turkey is not famous for her military prowess?!?! You must have forgotten how the glorious Greek army got defeated in the center of Turkey, we swallowed you alive!

OK, you might not be up to date with Turkish history, but not even your own history? No wonder even your own professors are trying to rewrite your history books in order to make them more aligned with the TRUTH, you guys are fucking ridiculous, all you want to hear is about Alexander the Gay, try learning more about your incredible defeats and you might change your entire outlook on the "great" Greek armed forces

Basically sunshine, just from the top of my head: we have the 3rd or 4th biggest army in the WORLD, our pilots keep winning very good positions in all the NATO competitions, we build our own F16 fighter jets along with many assault helicopters and we have just started to build some new technology ones together with France and Italy, not to mention the brand new ones we are about to buy from the US, we can deploy 3 MILLION soldiers in under 3 HOURS, you just had to IMPORT paid soldiers from Greece, around 2000 i think it was, therefore the base in Adana ALONE is enough to blow a fucking crater on the south of this island!

In other words, sunshine, you can all be armed up to your arseholes if you want to, it wont make the slightest difference and to be honest not even your sweet mother land would dare to save your sorry asses if it came to it because she wouldnt even make it as far as Cyprus, not that it would come to this, but still being hypothetical, i would suggest you guys stick to the sneaky political bitch fight that you have been pursuing since your last defeat and just MAYBE you might get somewhere

I agree with your conclusion and remind that there are different types of war these days... financial, psychological, pressure, etc.

Ger Real , Sotos meant WAR as in WAR not an economic embargo but WAR . Well he can declare war unilateral , because the vast majority of Cypriots want a war like a hole in the head. Get real , only negotiations will lead to a solution not war.

LOL It was a joke snake, G chill out man, OK you are not ALL gay, not that there is anything wrong with it Jesus!

Turks have always been amazing fighters through out history, its in our nature what can we do :) But this is exactly why you were our BITCHES for 600 years as well, because you are such smart and educated people right? why werent you so clever back then instead of bending over like little girls

War is defiantly not something to be glorified, but it definitely is a factor within the survival of ALL species, and when it comes down to it, no one cares about you bumming young boys or how many philosophers you have got, its about winning, which you cant seem to be able to do ;)
