Hey, I forgot to ask, which one are you, the "snake" or the "crane"?

Calm down boy, I am not Greek and don't claim to be one either. I am a Turkish Cypriot through and through and as much a nationalist as you or any one else here, get it?

If you are a T/C , through and through ! then show it .Your avatar is that of Turkey that happens to be , along with Greece , the two nations responsible for all of Cyprus's tragedies. I understand your close ties to this nation , but it is a foreign nation and you being a Cypriot have little common ground to share with.

Eric Dayi wrote:Bir, if you are so keen on living with the GC I am just wondering what the hell you are doing all the way in Oz and not have (or seem not to have) any inclination to moving to the South Greek Cyprus?

You know, your propaganda for a "united Cyprus" is so strong and pro GC, they might even make you the TC Vice President. Well, you'll never know unless you try, will ya?

Why don't you try and let us know what the GC's think about having you or any other TC as Vice President?

Or maybe it's because you read the UN report about the way the TC's are treated in the South and are scared shitless?

Bir, unless you move to the South Greek Cyprus side and actually live there no one will ever take what you say serious while you are some 8000 miles away.

Hey, Eric...Where have you been all this time?
You still insist on misrepresenting me,I see. Not to worry.
I don't expect it to make any difference to your way of thinking, but I will try again...

I am not as much as an idealist or dreamer as you think...
I know as well as everyone that the TCs are only just tolerated in the Republic,by the majority of GCs. I have no intention of going to live anywhere where i will be just tolerated. I deserve better in my own country. If I am going to return to Cyprus, after living in a democratic country where human rights are enthusistically defended by the majority,I want to live in a country where decency, compassion and democratic and human rights rule supreme...That is why I will not return to live in the TRNC as well.People with my opinions will not even be tolerated there.I have high demands from my people, and my country.
I insist that they recognise each other as brothers, that they empathise with each other, that they do not trample each others human and democratic rights under foot, and especially not under the feet of foreign soldiers,no matter where they come from.

I want to live with a clear conscience, from the sweat of my brow, and not from dealing in the misery, pain and suffering of my fellow countrymen and women.I don't want to live in a country where murderers are walking freely, some with hero status.I want to live in a country where I will not have to justify or defend my identity, where I will not feel ashamed to speak my language, where my national values are not questioned by authoritarian, immoral protectors of morality and decency...

I don't expect anything that I say to make a difference in the way you look at my personality and identity. That is why I will not return to live in a divided country where compatriots are at each others throats for no other reason than their ethnic origins...

It's not even half as bad as you make it out to be in the RoC. I think you'll find a lot more racism coming from the smaller "educated" class because unfortunately one of the side-effects of education is elitism. The simpler working class accept and adopt to change a lot easier.
