- 3.7.58: Murder attempt against Arif Hulusi Barudi. He was working in a business owned by a Greek Cypriot. Before the attempt he had received a threatening letter demanding that he leave his job.

May I ask once again forum members to refrain from posting past events?

It has become clear so far thet both Greece and Turkey with the guidance of Britain in many cases have attempted to promote their interests on the island irrespectively of cypriot people's will. In this effort they had the assistance of extremist elements of both sides in the form of TMT and EOKA b.

The at the time RoC administration in the faces of Makarios and Kutsuk sometimes in purpose and some other times from pure naivity fell into the trap and gave all the excuses needed for the extremists to promote their enosis or taksim agenda. Nationalism and extremism does not distinguish between race in some cases, whoever is not with them is deemed as a traitor and thus has to die. That is the reason that both EOKA b and TMT targeted not only people from the other community but also people from the left that was the only political organisation at the time that did not distinguish between ethnic identity.

As a result it was the innolcent people that paid tand continue to pay the price. What is really sad today is that some cypriots either haven't learned from the past and continue on the same old distructive tone.

Saying that GC still want Enosis is also quite funny may I add. So many TC people have been brainwashed into thinking this - why cant they think for themselves?

One example I can recollect is that when Greece drew 0-0 with Turkey in a PREVIOUS championship qualifier - a bunch of moronic TC kids decided to get their flags out again to celebrate the fantastic result against the European champions (or to be more specific, they were burning to celebrate on the streets of Palmers Green and Southgate because when Greece won the Euro and had a street carnival accross most of north London - it really burned them inside). So where did some of these TC kids go to wave their flags after a football match with Greece??... outside The Salamina FC UK branch supporters club. This club is probably the most left wing / anti Greece / pro Cypriot bunch of supporters you can find (trust me - i know lol). All these morons new is that it was a Greek Cypriot (or should i say Cypriot when we are talkin about Salamina) club house and recognised the name Salamina - so like good nationalist Turkish boys - they went there with their flags to wave and taunt the pro-Cypriot anti-EOKA people who had lost their houses in the Turkish invasion - with Turkish and 'TRNC' flags.

What is really funny is that You guys say that what you did to us pails into insignificance when you take 1974 into account but then attempt to take the few bits of information you've got on the TMT, that was formed as a response to EOKA, and compare them. You guys were happy when you had free rain on killing badly defended TCs but when you got killed in a proper war with Turkey then that is ethnic cleansing. It is the [posting without any shame that has got me to the point where I don't give a shit about what you guys want and has shown me the Greek way of going all out to get what I want because nothing is going to be given to me regardless of how much I deserve it. There is not a single Cypriot here. You are GCs and we are TCs. You want all of Cyprus we want a part in which we can exist without your greed taking over.


What did you think this renewed attack on me and VP was going to achieve. Did you really think that we were going to run away and hide. I don't think so. Apart from Bir and Kiks every other TC is willing to stand up for their rights. Those two gave up on their people a long time ago and I do not know a single other TC that talks the way they do.
