Thanks for this information! I'm suprised of the taxi cost from Nicosia to Girne. It is not a big distance but more than £20? Are there no other means of transport (bus, collective taxi)?

I still think donkey is available or failing that husband's still hire out their wives for piggy back rides :D

There are buses which run from Nicosia to Girnie on a regular basis.
I was suprised to hear some one say that a taxi was about £20 so I will check and come back with the info.
On my last entry I said that the people on both side were nice,I forgot to mention that there are exceptions to the rule and it took Twinkle's comments to remind me.

As Twinkle has said Dhometios and Pila but you are best going to Pila or come to Nicosia.

Metahan ( Nicosia ) is the only one to do Insurance if you are bringing a car across.

Black Knight (British Eastern Sovereign Base Area) 35°05.764'N, 33°54.071'E
