INTERNATIONAL ISOLATION ON NORTH CYPRUS IS UNACCEPTABLE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

thats the million dollar question kikapu. how do we do it.

i think firstly we need to embrace cypriotism and that will set the wheels in motion.

This is where we need people like Zan and VP and mrfromng, and Shah and T_C, and all the other TC's who want to remain Cypriots and not part of Turkey. They would want to embrace the Cypriotism before embracing being Turkish. Of course, the same goes for the Greek Speakers also, but in all reality, and VP is right in this, it is only the TC's who can make Turkey leave. I do not think Turkey will listen to us either, but at least, we can get the truth out to the world, that Turkey is in Cyprus for herself, and not for the TC's, if they refuse to leave.

While we are on the subject, and if Partition with Annexation occurs, this will be the end of the road for the TC's as we know it. Northers Cyprus will become free for all from Turkey.

May I ask, how many TC's prefer to live in Turkey today, rather than remaining in Cyprus.?

If the answer is, "not too many", then you can see the writing on the wall. It will be taking a step backwards for the TC's, rather than moving forward. Please people, I'm not trying to put Turkey down, but just stating facts. My twin sister lives there, and I have visited Turkey numerous times, but can't imagine living there, and if Northern part of Cyprus becomes like Turkey, more than it is today, then what. :?:

Where would the TC's go to. :?:

RoC may be one option.

If so, and the above scenario is not acceptable to the TC's, then it is time to look at the 2 States 1 Country solution.

Judging by your posts and those of VPs no hand of friendship is evident from either you or the official VPs , on the contrary you have posted absolutely nothing resembling reconciliation or forgiveness and as for your dream of a new modern world

You really need to go back and re-read our posts have you have not understood very much. I have agreed a basis with Kikapu for a 2 state 1 country solution, feel free to ask him.

.

Yes indeed, VP did support my 2 States 1 Country solution, based along Kifeas's Political Government Sharing Plan, that VP agreed to last year, but for some reason, he still promotes Partition, rather than 2 States 1 Country Solution, so that other TC's on the forum, can start to accept the concept. Piratis, Pits and Pyro does accept the concept for starters, and I'm sure I don't have to twist Miltiades's arm too much, to get him to say yes. So, we do have options, rather than saying things to insult and antagonize the other side, just to piss them off. :!:

The bigger question is, how do we send the Turkish Troops home. :?:

You are kidding yourself with your idea as you do not appear to have mustered much support form the GC side, how will you get them to accept 2 TC state and political equality and if they do why arent they doing anything about it?

The way to get rid of the Turkish Troops is to agree something along the lines of the Annan plan which the GC do not want.

Lets say you are right and that the North becomes Turkey and TCs hate living there so they move south, how will the GC feel then?, they will kick themselves for not haivng acted sonner to bring TCs in from isolation so that TCs can stand up and say to Yurkey thank you very much for saving us but its time to part ways? why cant GCs see this? the annexation is as much their problem as it is ours yest they continue with policies that will make the north part of Turkey.

the question is if the tcs do move south what would the tcs expect? surely you will have to accept the unthikable, and that is the same thing you don't want today and that is the minority status and unitary state.

so what have you as a tc achieved apart from giving turkey half the country?

Actually, my solution was not for the benefit of the GC's, but to us, the TC's, so it is up to us, to push the idea. It is up to us to convert those, who cannot see the future, which is doomed for the TC's. It is up to us, to accept an alternative to a partition, and then, have our leaders, make proposals to the GC's, then work with them, to implement it.

Sorry VP, Annan Plan was "NO PLAN" for the long term. You can not have a Confederation States, when we are sitting on other peoples land, that changes ownership overnight. We really have to follow the USA style of Federation, since a Republic is has not worked, and will not again in the future, without Amending it.

MAYBE the Roc will let the TC's in, and MAYBE they will not. They also have the option to tell the TC's, hey, you wanted Turkey over your own citizens, to live and prosper in a EU nation, so now, stay there and become part of a developing 3rd world.

The pendulum swings both ways VP.
