Turkey suspends F-16 purchase from US over Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Lightnings? The Brits were flying them back in the 1970s, the fastest climbing interceptor in the universe!

Really?

Turkey is a partner in the development of the F-35's, the 100 have already been approved by the MoD.

People are hungry and this damn bastards buying billions worth of weapons... where the hell could they use these?
Attacking an EU state, that would be damn stupid... show a superiority in the region? - waste of effort and money.

With or without spare parts?

Anyway it's obvious that the F-16 would be given as NATO force whereas the rest would be bought with some more IMF loan.

Banger? 1500mph, how fast is F-35, what is F- 35 climb rate?

The Lightning’s speed and climb performance were excellent not just by 1950s or 1960s standards but even compared with modern operational fighters. Its initial rate of climb was 50,000 ft per minute (15 km/min). The Mirage IIIE climbed initially at 30,000 ft/min (9 km/min), the MiG-21 managed 36,090 ft/min (11 km/min), and the Tornado F-3 43,000 ft/min (13 km/min).

they are so damn expensive to fly and maintain that Turkey will never be able to fly them...
as for show, they will be fit with an engine from TOYOTA PRIUS good enough to taxi it round the Airfield for CNN TURK's cameras...which then will be edited with test flight footage and shown to proud population where some people still share a bed with goats.

Good enough as you still could not cleanse Cyprus from Turks.

Yes idiot, you are right. The only thing you haven't though so far is you could BUY the whole Cyprus with all that money you will spend for those planes.
