30,000 Cretan Turks wiped out overnight in 1866

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

in 1913 around 100,000 cretans who did not change religion have to leave our country. cretans have their own culture, and surely they never liked been under occupation from anyone, even today they are much independent.

i think that they would not have any problem to welcome back the cretan turks as long as they prove that they are cretans and not turks. they have been some reunions.

That's the famous old neighbourhood in down town Nicosia around the Makarios palace.. (Arhiepiskopi) I'm pretty sure it's a Turkish name.

So how about it?

What are you talking about? Cretan Turks were included in the the 1924 population exchange agreement and were relocated to Turkey just like 1.500.000 Greeks from Asia Minor were relocated to Greece.
