I lived in a house on Pythagoras St in Strovolos in 1971 - 1973. The house was owned by Andreas and Toula (Last name forgotten). Attached to the house was a beauty shopped owned and operated by Toula. I have been tring to locate this house on Google Earth but things have changed there so much over the years I can't locate it and Google Earth doesn't display the street names to help me. Can anyone provide me a basic map of that part of Nicosia suburbs or better yet the Google Earth coordinates of where that house is/was? Andreas and Toula and their family were wonderful to me and my family while living there...including us in on their family outings to the mountains and family celebrations such as weddings and birthdays. Their son Constantino would be about 36 years old now! Would love to be able to locate and contact them as well. Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Hey I don't know if this will help but www.flashearth.com is a diluted version of googleearth. It gives you the option of viewing the map in different versions including Microsoft VE Labels.

First click on the MIC VE Label version and find the location, the closer you zoom in the more labels will appear, once you find where you want then change to GoogleMaps and this will change it to the GoogleEarth type map where you can zoom in on the same spot and hopefully find what you're looking for.

This sometimes works for me but you can't zoom in as much as you can on google so sometimes its a waste of time but still worth a try if all else fails...

Pythagoras str. in Strovolos starts from here: (35° 8'20.87"N, 33°20'30.38"E) and ends up here: (35° 8'18.66"N, 33°20'43.06"E)

Kifeas - Thanks very much! That exact geolocation gave me what I needed. I believe I have identified my former residence...third house from the start point, on the right, on the corner. Thanks again...I would never have been able to locate it without your assistance. Cheers
