yes cyprus is heaven .but you must prepare properly to move here .it is in there nature to take everything for granted and they invented manyana way before spain .if you have to work here and are unskilled .it will be hard for anybody .you have to have something they need or take what wages they offer .forget minimum wage here this is cyprus and if you want uk laws then its better to stay there .the longer cyprus stays as it is the better it will be .thats the beauty of the place and the people once they now you are great .few sharks .but you got that in uk least here they do you with a smile and sunshine.and if you shop around its still cheap and better quality meat salad and veg than uk and mandria taverns are great :) :) :) :) :) i feel like meza there now

Depends on what you're looking for and what type of person you are. If you think it's like the UK just with better weather you will be disappointed. People here have mortgages, jobs, expenses and problems just like everyone else but somehow they never seem as bad when the sun is shining :)
If you are laid back, not easily frustrated and enjoy a slower pace of life, then it's perfect :)
Having said that....there is not a lot you can do on £400 CYP unless you already have your own house or apartment. And if you have kids... forget it on that kind of money.

Lana....You may catch the Gav man out. I think he has had holidays here but never lived here. Living here is completely different to a holiday. Working is another story....

Hi Twinkle

Unless it is a fault in GAVCARCOM"s English, he posted yesterday saying he was looking forward to his first trip here:
