Larnaca, Cyprus

Postby Mr.vb » Wed Mar 21, 2007 11:07 am

Hi everyone!!!

Hi, my name is Naf (29m) Oracle and .NET programmer, and I'm new to this forum.

I will be going to Larnaca, Cyprus this end of March (March 29 - April 1) for training and unfortunately I don't know anything about your country (Larnaca, Cyprus).

Can someone please help me find the best places to go to, so that my stay in Larnaca will be well spent, and not only for training.

My training is from (08:00 to 16:00) and fortunately I have two days free (31 MAR & 1 APR) and my airplane will leave 1Fr April at 22:00.

I am a fun person, like movies, dancing, making friendship and enjoy good scenery to watch.

Hope to hear from anyone soon...thanks!!!!

Head for the sea front promanade. On the Sunday, it's a national holiday and if i'm not mistaken there will be parades etc. Saturday either hit the shops (they close around 2pm) or head for the museum (cyprus paleontology, forest and fauna exhibition - did you know there were skeletons of small hippo type animals found in aradippou, hence the name!) in the old warehouses just as you get on the sea front next to sunhall hotel. there is a local museum near the tennis courts further in town. Or grab a shared taxi (get one near the main police station) and head to nicosia, or limassol. nicosia will have more going on and you will be able to see the fuss being made on ledra st.

Have a good trip and come again :)

Twinkle is female I'll have you know :) so just sleep in all day because you'll need all the energy and money you can save for the Larnaca Cabarets at night.

Hello Naf! Where are you from? I answered some of your questions.

What does the better rent a car or take Taxi?

It depends on how much you will use it. If it is just a few short rides then taxi. rent a car otherwise.
What are best movie theater (American cinema movies) and a nice night club?

K-cineplex
Is US Dollars accepting or should I have Cyprus local currency?

Better get Cyprus pounds
Is most of Cyprus people talk English or not?

Most speak some English
Can I chat free with people or they don't like chat with stranger?

You can ask people for information and they will be happy to answer. But I don't think people will just sit and chat with complete strangers
