GavCar, even for the sake of discussion we accept that Turkey saved TC as well as our asses, then what's the point of Turkey occupying 37% of Cyprus, displacing 1/3 or the islands population and living 6,000 dead? How do you expain the fact that Turkey stayed for more than 32 years now, changing the demographics of the island and declaring a break away state (trnc)?

Is this how TC consider being saved? I thought that Turkey's guarantees were towards the constitutional order - well the constitutional order was put in order with the return of Makarios after the coup, however, Turkey stayed on the island and is clearly working towards the Turkification of the north and the annexation of the occuppied areas to Turkey at the expense of both GCs and TCs.

Nice way of being saved don't you think?
