I am one of those TCs who is petrified at the thought of annexation by Turkey.I am also very afraid at what is happening slowly in the TRNC,the Turkification of TCs...Unless we get some real help from our brothers,GCs,in the form of a solution which will reunite us,the TC culture and identity will be extinct within 25 years.

My dear friend, MR, will probably be the one who switches the lights off when the end of TCs come. And I know he would not like it one bit...
So can we expect help from our compatriots to stop us from being gobbled up by Turkey? Otherwise, it will probably be their turn in not so distant future...

I'm a firm supporter of the EU and do really think that it is the greatest European achievement ever. Millions of Europeans perished in two world wars , this Union of nations that previously fought each other at least guarantees that the prospects of a European conflict are negligible. One day even Russia will join.
As far as the" Turkification " of the T/Cs goes , as you say Birk the G/Cs ought to consider the consequences and look ahead at what can happen , already happening , to a part of our Cyprus. The RoC government is letting the people down by not concentrating hard on the task at hand which is an amicable solution to the Cyprus problem. It has to embark on a concerted campaign to win over the T/Cs by actions and by words too , playing down their role by the constant inference of their numerical inferiority will push them closer to Turkey than they already are.

I wish more people thought and felt like you do,dear miltiades.
It is a matter of urgency now that we find a way to reunite our motherland.Withing 10 years it will be too late...Partition will be entrenched and TC identity totally subjugated...The next step will probably be annexation!!!

Sorry to be critical at such a positive time on this thread but is this not exactly what VP and I have been saying all along and have been attacked for it. Is it because Bir and Miltiades wanted to get the glory for unifying Cyprus so they sabotaged us VP.

They don't seem to feel this is a big issue for them and that it is only a problem we face alone, well I have stated that Turkey will be there closest neighbour and that if Turkey gets into the they will be flooded with Turkish workers, products, traditions that they to will be amazed at the transformation. They may not want to live in a TC state but they are destined to live in a very Turkish influenced environment as this time they will be in our position the numerical minority but hey as you tell no need to worry I am sure Turkey has no bad intentions

I am laughing,VP,because if I stop and think about what's happening to our homeland,I will probably go and jump off the first cliff I can find. And there are many suitable cliffs around where I live...

Bir ask a few Gcs on this forum they seem to see "threat" as something that only effects us and that by continuing to push us in Turkeys direction that things will improve, I have been stating for ages that it is the better of the 2 evils and unless the more evil wises up and starts to act angelic otherwise will end up Turkish and they will end up with nothing, not even hope.
