Capitalism does not work this way. In fact what you stated about people being gready is the answer to your question. In capitalism companies, including tour operators are gready, so if they can make a bigger profit by directing tourism to north or by combining their holiday packages as to include the whole island then they will do it! Especially if they know that the RoC agreed to that and there will not be any problems for them.
Its basic market force mate!

Especially if they know that the RoC agreed to that and there will not be any problems for them.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt but both sides are free to work together right now, if they were greedy they would have jumped on the band wagon a long time ago. I think you need to find a GC tour operator and ask them why they do not forge these ties with the north. Do you think Gc tour operators will include the hotels in the north in their promotional material distributed all over the world??

Without a second thought I would intervene and stop the beating secondly I would tell the police exactly what I saw. But ask yourself if a Gc would do the same if the roles were reversed, I trust myself but I dont trust GCs thats my problem. Why do I get the impression that if push came to shove GCs would push TCs over the edge of the cliff?

It is only recently that the ban was lifted on the London underground and the buses that stopped any advertising of holidays in the north. They even managed to persuade that nutter mayor of ours, Ken Livingstone that it was right to ban us.

Many GCs can speak Turkish very well.

Miltiades and Pyro are putting their money where their big mouths are all for the sake of charity how about you? you accused me of many things your turn to face the music or are you just a cheap skate who lives miles and miles away telling us we are wrong and that we shoudl put our necks on the chopping block as long as yours is safe.

Thats why I said the RoC must take something back from it. What was proposed about the stopping of developing and selling GC land is something that will for surely make the RoC to encourage this.

Without an agreement with the RoC any sort of such activity will receive a bad press coverage with disastrous results for the tour operator. However, this is not the case with tour operators offering and advertising daily trips to the north.

Sorry for quoting capitalism all the time but in such a system tour operators weigh the risk of offering overnight stay in the north and bad publicity is a major risk. This risk will be minimised in the presence of an agreement.
These issues may well be discussed in the technical committees suggested by the 8th July agreement, if mr Talat sees the light and put Cyprus interests ahead of those of Turkey.

VP, I only care what I do, because I can not control anyone else. I have to follow my own principles. If the GC does not do the same, should not prevent me from doing what's right thing to do. It's very simple really, so you must now understand, how I function. I go with what's right, to best of my knowledge. If I'm wrong, I will accept my punishment. I have to stand on principles, or else, it is not worth standing at all. I try to take a stance, that I believe to be the best for all Cypriots, even if it appears to be against my community (TC's) by others, because of their own agenda.
