Gav it's by no accident I suggested this thread be "embargoed" because I knew very well that your drips and drabs of "information" would lead to this mess but unfortunately some people saw fit to give it a go.
EOKA means…"Eliniki Organosis Kyprion Agoniston" and in English translates to "Greek organization of Cypriot fighters" so it makes sense that the name would be preserved but in order to differentiate one struggle (anti-British) from the other (pro-Greece) they used "A" and "B".
TP was the team leader (administrative involvement) in Famagusta for EOKA "A" but had nothing to do with EOKA "B" as he was a fervent Makarios supporter. Take good note that EOKA "B" was AGAINST Makarios so as to unite Cyprus with the Greek military junta.
