GCs do not represent TCS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

GCs do not represent TCS

Postby GAVCARoCOM » Mon Mar 19, 2007 1:07 pm

EU is very unfair to Turkish cypriots. Even though Turkish is an official language in Cyprus, when Cyprus entered EU Greek Cypriots asked for Greek only to be official language for Cyprus in EU.
This is discrimination. No turkish Cypriots can apply to EU jobs because of this as they need to speak to European Languages to apply. So all post are filled by GCs.
Where 's the justice in that?

See? You too can create interesting and mature topics when you really want to! :)

I would support Turkish being forwarded as a EU language but at the moment there is far too much resistance against the RoC jeopardizing her sovereignty so I can understand our reluctance to makes things easier for the many that are still clearly against us. Cyprus must retain the interests of her devoted 750,000 people in priority and deal with the ambiguous with extreme caution and as a secondary matter.

Are you still looking for justice, while your still in an ethnic cleansing frame of mind? You all are hilarious that feel like GAVCARoCOM. Still holding grudges for the self made mountain of racism that you spew.

i think they declared it to be greek because it didn't cost any money in having to translate volumes upon volumes of EU transcripts, since greece spend all the money. the roc got a free ride on this one.

to make turkish a second language who would come up with the cash and the time?

what gav is missing is that if the roc could do it they would have done it by showing the roc represents the whole island

its just no feasable for a small country to cough up the bill.

and if greek wasn't a language the roc would have chosen english as the main language anyway. again i cite the costs involved

The EU states that only one language is official from every member state. It is logical that Turkish was not chosen for RoC since the 80% of the population speaks greek. The same happened in Spain for Catalan and other EU member states that have more than one official languages.

However GAV if you would want any EU document in Turkish the RoC is required to provide you with a translation.

As for the EU posts if you speak any of the EU languages then you wouldn't have a problem. The problem is that you are not a citizen of the EU since you deny the existence of RoC thus you by yourself has denied the rights that EU is giving you. Tough shit, speak to the Turkish generals about your problem.
