Is this how things really are in north Cyprus?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

but don't worry we have the same shit on the other side as well. the ts haven't got exclusive on this

It is very true that you have only heard my side of the story and I could be the daughter in law from hell. The only reason I am the DIL from hell is because I am not what they want me to be, Turkish Cypriot.

I have a very good husband who stands by my side and will not let it be dictated who he lives with. I would not have moved here if I thought they felt the same as they did when I met him. What would be the point of me coming from the UK, leaving my family and friends and making trouble here?

Some people are blessed with great families and some not and this can happen all over the world. You are right Get Real the nitty gritty of it is we are not happy here and will move on.

God bless all Cypriots and hopefully peace.

Jo :)

Kikapu, she may well be a wonderful wife and a wonderful DIL we'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

What about you? poor you, getting called to bed at 22.25 GMT. That makes it around 17.25 in your neck of the woods. Whats she doing to you man? Does she think you are a machine? Is she always bossing you around?

I'm in Switzerland, so local time was 22.25.

She had been sick for few days, so there was a lot of "back order work" that needed immediate attention.

That kind of "bossing around", I can deal with.

When we first met 12 years ago, I made the mistake of playing the song "I'm just the sex machine" over and over again, so now, I have to keep it going. Just need to "oil the parts" now and again, to maintain "high performance" status..

"They have had enough of northern Cyprus, the corruption, the administrative chaos, the endless number of sexpot Casinos purporting to be 5-star hotels, the mainlanders who now outnumber our brothers by 2 to1, the unchallenged annexation of the north to the mainland, the multi-coloured ice cream housing estates, the appalling quality of building, the ubiquitous Turkish army camps, their trucks, jeeps, heavy artillery, the streets alive with conscripts looking for women, etc. and the feeling that they, residents of this self proclaimed state, are being held prisoner in a fortress not much bigger than St Hilarion itself."

51 years old, never smoked in my life. Not very common for a TC Cypriot.

Smoked 2 joints (only) when I first went to the States in 79', and never since.

Drinking Red wine....I'm guilty Your Honour

Not on any medication or vitamins, what so ever. Just good solid Cypriot food, home made of course, by myself. :D

Thanks for the invite mrfromng. Unless I'm there for a week, there never seems to be enough time to even to see the whole family. Miltiades knows that. I have not had the time to meet up with him either.

I'll try to come over in May, if all possible.

Cheers.

What a pity that a thread which started with so much promise, has degenerated once again into certain people's sexual largess...

I had a lot of interesting things to say,but have forgotten all of them in the excitement. Now if I could find my blue pills, and remember what it was I did when I was on them,I might even switch of this damn computer, and go for it...

Pyro,
If you are really a doctor, can you tell me if the blue pills can make you senile,if you abuse them...?
And while you are there, can "taking advantage of yourself"really make you blind???
Thanks
