That just about sums it all up...
No matter how bad the situation is in North Cyprus, for us TC's anything is better than living under GC administration....we've been there before and have no intention of repeating same mistake again...

This is nonsense! The simple truth is if anyone has to emmigratre he will emmigrate to the best place possible. Just wait for the oil to come out and we talk again.

Give you your rights?

I thought you have a "new" country now! I thought that Turkey is the one controlling the north of Cyprus as it still has it under occupation. How can the RoC give you your right since it has no control of its occuppied areas?

Do you people listen to yourselves and what you are saying? Lets take for instance Spain invating France and occuppying the part that French Catalan live and forces French speakers out of the area. Then the occupied area proclaims a new state and the world refuses to recognise this and rightly so France does not allow any ports and airports to open. In the same logic France refuses the rights of the French Catalans that are under occupation. Is this your logic? Wouldn't Spain be responsible for the isolation of the occuppied areas?

personally i would hold more respect for those individuals who move to the south because they recognise the whole of cyprus as their country adn hence want to live free, and before the oil, come out. Becuase any move after the oil has wrong intentions behind it that will never sustain a cypriot identity.

Why would we want to move south to a GC state, its no different from France or Germany until the correct climate has been created by the GC leadership TC will not go to reside in the south or feel part of the "RoC".

Do the people in that area have a partnership agreement like ours? any guarantee agreements? did they go through anything like 1963 to 1974? I get the impression that the circumstances are totally different like comparing apples with pears.

VP would you care to elaborate on excactly what you mean by right climate? I would like to know what conditions you would like to see in order to move south. Your response would be appreciated, however, I have noticed that you go without answering this question, as I have asked before.

We have discussed this before but lets do it again...

1. The administration would have to have its TC representation in place to protect my rights.

2. Schools for TC children.

3. All documentation in both languages.

4. TC representation in all government and official bodies.

5. Return of property to TC refugees if this is a long and delayed process then the payment to temporary accommodation.

6. Support in finding employment according to education and experience.

7. Heavy penalties for acts of discrimination in all areas of life, through a speedy process not delayed and thrown into a draw somewhere.

These are a few that spring to mind.
