The referendum was a slap in the face for many TCs like me who thought they could unite with the GCs, little did we know that what are elders told us was correct you cannot trust them they will smile at your face and as soon as you turn your back they will shoot you.
GCs did have good intentions and were happy to offer their now democratic system and modern infrastructure to the TCs to live in but when TCs started talking about "power sharing", "veto power", and similar 1960s imbalanced and undemocratic crap that got us into trouble in the first place well that did it for most of us!
Sorry I was under the impression the RoC that the GC's represent was the same one from 1960? When did you declare it null&void?
It's hard to convince the GCs that an 18% minority that has remained virtually stagnant, introduced thousands of full-blown Turks, and turned the North into an underworld, in the space of three decades, should be given power over something we worked our butts off so hard...
Sorry VP but the credentials aren't there...
Oh of course, now we "don't deserve" powersharing because we're so poor forgetting to mention that you've done your best to try limit us ecomonically since 1963, I'm glad you're here to set the record straight. Nearly every single sector that has led to GC prosperity has been external, tourists, shipping, banking/offshore etc.. infact even the reduction in the % of workforce in farming after 1974 had a positive impact after the short term shock so please stop talking about stagnation as if there is something in the TC makeup that is lazy and incapable.
This sounds to me like a GC who occupies a shop in the south that actually is owned by a TC, he argues that he should n't have to give the shop back to the original owner because he's worked very hard whilst demanding that all GC property is returned without question, implying that no TC's have worked hard in the north.
