The only lessons we get from this sad story, is that Cyprus has many defeatists and plonkers. You loose your family and you play the angel as if nothing has happened????

People like Souppouris ought to be in the forefront of demos, petitions and groups demanding the removal of the turks, not playing martyr. Sorry Petro, but you are plain wrong in my eyes. You are an insult to your familys (and other families) memory.

while I loathe the partionist attitude I think VP has an arguable point: both sides were at fault - both side enaged in attrocities, not just between members of the Kypreous and Kibrilisi communities but also GSC on GSC and TRC on TSC. Cyprus must move on beyond the hatred of the past and while that hatred is being promoted then the Turks will use that as an excuse to maintain their military presence using the pretence of protecting the TSC. .

...as for B25, obviously you did not live in a "mixed" village, probably you have no idea of the life Cypriots led before the interlocutors decided it was wise to label these people as "Greek" and "Turk". you may believe you are Greek, but frankly you haven't the Humanity, nor the mind, you are merely an Intolerant creature who is too selfish to consider the harm your Ignorance causes the rest of us.

@ Halil, i would not be so gleeful, look in your own backyard, your "Greeks" are no better, and your propaganda machine is as bad, if not worse.

...and if you are truly, a Cypriot, and willing to take a big step for Mankind, ask yourself, if there is a Republic, and a Turkish Constituency, where is the Greek Constituency (where are a Maronite, etc. Constituencies?); why not National Assemblies, as well as a Federal Government?
