Hi
staying in Kapparis for a week from 7th May, would really like to do some sort of organised wine tour - does anybody have any suggestions for a tour company that does that?

Hello.
I dont know of such tours.
If you are interested in going it alone, I can suggest a few wineries (as I have visited and interviewed the owners of more than 20 rural wineries).

hi
that would be a good alternative - i don't really want to drive myself maybe i could hire a car and driver for half a day
anyway if you could give me some details for the ones nearest kapparis that would be great

Nearest Kapparis .....hmmmm.....OK. The rural wineries on the island are as a rule on a higher elevation and on Troodos mountain range. I guess you should leave Paphos district wineries out of your list, as they are further away.
A few that I would recommend....as a package...meaning good quality wine and picturesque winery would include at least: Argyrides winery in Vasa Kilaniou village, Agia Mavri winery in Kilani village, probably Lambouri winery (somewhat modernish building, looks good though) in Kato Platres village. Aes Ambelis in Kalo Chorio Klirou village is an interesting modernish building with good quality wine.
Of course there are more.
