TALAT `CHRISTOFIAS PLAYS FOR TIME`

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TALAT `CHRISTOFIAS PLAYS FOR TIME`

Postby halil » Fri Nov 28, 2008 2:26 pm

President Mehmet Ali Talat has accused the Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias of not actually continuing full-fledged negotiations.

The two leaders have been continuing talks since the 3rd of September with the aim of bringing about a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem.

`We are continuing the full-fledged negotiations but the Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias is not actually continuing full-fledged negotiations` the President told a conference titled `Latest developments in Cyprus and Negotiation Process at the Izmir University of Economics.

Accusing the Greek Cypriot Administration of trying to change the basis created with UN parameters, Mr Talat said `For example, it signed an agreement with Britain. It made Britain to accept its thesis on issues we were discussing. It signed a similar agreement with Russia on issues we were discussing `.

The President made it clear that the way to bring about a Cypriot solution to the problem cannot be this, accusing the Greek Cypriot Leader of playing for time.

The President stressed that the federal republic to be established would be a new state and that it is out of question for the `Republic of Cyprus` to be transferred into a new state.

Referring the political equality as the most important issue for the Turkish Cypriot Side, he said `this will be the political equality of the two communities and not the two states`.

Mr Talat also made it clear that the Turkish Cypriot Side wants the Treaties of Guarantee and Alliance to continue.

`Whenever the Treaties of Guarantee and Alliance is brought to the agenda, Hristofias gets carried away. He says that the EU is providing enough security.

But we have martyrs and missings who were killed between the years of 1963 and 74 when Cyprus was under the protection of the UN Security Council` he reminded, stressed that the Turkish Cypriot Side would not agree the protection of the UN, the EU or Britain.

But, the President noted that he was still hopeful for a solution as the sides were still at the negotiation table.

`As we are at the table, solution is possible and for me, the chances are high`, he added.

More garbage from Talat, as always!

Halil, you are one of the people in this forum that does not want a solution, otherwise you wouldn't have been posting Talat's garbage and lies without criticism, and I suggest you stop pretending the opposite!

Kifeas,

Perhaps it is Garbage, BUT CHRISTOFIAS IS DESPERATE FOR IT!

He Loves Talat, wants him as his Co-President, or is it his Co-Donkey so he can pee on?

The Talks are futile, pointless, a waste of time, these two can;t even discuss and agree on what to eat at a restuarant forget about the Cyprus issue. Denktas was the only man who made bold steps, who invited Turkey, who setup the TRNC in 1983 and who held his own until the Liberals tricked the public into believing that a Federal Solution under a power-sharing deal could be possible.

The GCs will never Power-share, never in a million years!

Agreed Partition, or should I really say - FORCED PARTITION.

Christofias is worried. The OIC recognise the TRNC as the Turkish Cypriot State, Azerbaijan outright recognises all TRNC passports for direct travel to its country, and all internationally based companies int he TRNC are OFFICIALLY registered as "The Republic of Turkey and Northern Cyprus".

CHRISTOFIAS is Worried - And he should be.......

Meanwhile, Turkey send hundreds, if not thousands of Kurdish refugees across the "Cease-Fire line" in order to give the GCs a piece of their own double-crossing policy of siding with the PKK!

the President reinforced that the Turkish Cypriot side and Turkey are working strenuously to find a solution to the Cyprus problem as soon as possible.

Noting that the Greek Cypriot side did not want to set a deadline to facilitate a solution, the President said ‘I said lets set a deadline. I said can you think of the 2009 European Parliamentary elections as a date.

They said it may be possible. So I hope that we can find a solution to the Cyprus problem before the European Parliamentary Elections.’

Halil, if you or Talat think that in exchange of a 7% worthless scrap of land (because that is what you basically offer;) we will have to agree to: (a) offer you the "kocan" and recognition for the remaining better 30%, as an exclusive Turkish heritage territory, (b) allow your entrance into the EU as an almost separate entity, (c) share with you and Turkey (Turkish settlers making up 50% of your “indigenous” TC community) the EU member RoC, on a 50:50 basis, and (d) be obliged to go to bed with your motherland every night; you better think again, because the “sales” season is over, for a long time now!
